Metalocalypse is an American animated television series, which was created by Brendon Small and Tommy Blacha, and premiered on August 4, 2006 on Adult Swim. The television program centers around the death metal band Dethklok and often portrays dark and macabre content, such as subjects dealing with violence, death, and the drawbacks of fame, but in an often ironic and humorous fashion. The show can be seen as both a celebration and parody of heavy metal culture.
